Johnson happy with point

Bristol City manager Gary Johnson was upbeat after his side fought back to draw with Scunthorpe at Ashton Gate.

United lead thanks to Andy Keogh's early strike, but Bas Savage earned the Robins a point with an unlikely equaliser just after the hour mark.

Johnson said: 'We mustn't feel flat. It is always diffcult when you play a team just a couple of points ahead of you and you want to win the game.

'With the debacle of the goal after five minutes, it is difficult against a team who just want to keep that result. But we had to get a tempo, and we were right on song today in our quality and on another day we might have took our chances better.

'Scunthorpe were a hard nut to crack, we kept going and we are still unbeaten now.'

The Iron scored thanks to a goalkeeping blunder, with Adriano Basso blasting the ball at Keogh rather than simply picking it up.

It was a threat Johnson was aware of, and revealed he had warned the Brazilian shotstopper what to expect.

He added: 'It was a bad goal to concede, We were shouting 'pick it up' to Basso.

'We were saying all week in training that the two lads up front (Keogh and Billy Sharp) would close everything down, unfortunately that's what they did and it was too late.'
