Morris In Team Of The Week (28/11/17)

Morris In Team Of The Week (28/11/17)

Scunthorpe United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Josh Morris in the two nil victory over Charlton Athletic at the weekend at The Valley was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morris was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Morris may have begun Scunthorpe`s clash with Charlton Athletic at Glanford Park on the bench, but his second-half contribution proved to be a match-winning one. Firstly, he exquisitely curled home a free-kick to put the Iron in front and, on 63 minutes, he got his second with a sumptuous right-footed strike into the top corner from all of 25 yards.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morris for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

David Forde (Cambridge United), Luke Waterfall (Lincoln City), Liam Cooper (Leeds United), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Albert Adomah (Aston Villa), Hiram Boateng (Exeter City), Max Power (Wigan Athletic), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Dominic Samuel (Blackburn Rovers), Matej Vydra (Derby County), Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton Wanderers).

Manager - Chris Coleman (Sunderland).
