Morris In Team Of The Week (31/10/17)

Morris In Team Of The Week (31/10/17)

Scunthorpe United are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Josh Morris in the three two victory over Oldham Athletic at the weekend at Boundary Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Morris was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'In a dramatic game at Boundary Park, Scunthorpe United shrugged off the frustration of being pegged back by Oldham Athletic, to run out eventual 3-2 victors and end Richie Wellens` unbeaten start. Morris netted his sixth goal in all competitions so far this season, and additionally set up Duane Holmes for the all-important goal, seven minutes from time.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Morris for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Colin Doyle (Bradford City), Matty Taylor (Swindon Town), Joel Lynch (Queens Park Rangers), John White (Southend United), Josh Morris (Scunthorpe United), Kieran Dowell (Nottingham Forest), Jorge Grant (Notts County), Mark Duffy (Sheffield United), Sam Surridge (Yeovil Town), Mikael Mandron (Colchester United), Josh Parker (Gillingham).

Manager - Mark Robins (Coventry City).
