Trio To Be Fit For Wednesday

Brian Laws has said he expects Chris Iwelumo, Andy Welsh and Etienne Esajas to return on Saturday for the game against Sheffield Wednesday.

Iwelumo has missed all of the games so far, whilst Welsh and Esajas missed out against Gainsborough as a precaution.

Esajas is one that fans and Brian Laws will no doubt want to see again quickly following his hattrick at Brigg, and the fact he is with us on trial hoping to earn a contract - Wednesday are also his former club.

Speaking to the Official Site Laws explained.

'We had Saturday in mind. We're facing a stronger sie, it's a 90 minute football. They are important players for us and all three will be available and we can then start formulating our plans for on the park as these are the games that are more realistic barometers.'

Laws also spoke about why players missed the most recent game.

Iwelumo as we know, has been suffering with an illness, but Andy Welsh got a kick against Brigg in the hip area so he was left out to rest up. Etienne Esajas has been feeling the fatigue, so again it was decided to give him a bit of a rest because Laws know how hard he's been working in training to try and impress so it's only fair to all to test him against Wednesday, fully rested.
