Laws Still Trying To Balance The Budget

With players brought in and existing players mutually terminating contracts, Brian Laws has said he's still trying to balance the budget as we head into the season.

Speaking to the Official Site the gaffer explained.

'Again balancing the budget is key and you have to look at how we have approached it this year. We have taken a risk, for sure. By bringing those players in early we have overloaded the budget because the players that we felt we could move on have not actually moved on. The risk is that if anything falls through then it becomes a financial burden.'

With all that said, Laws still believes it was a gamble worth taking, but he knows he has to stick to his budgets and make sure the balance is there come the close of the transfer window.
