Godden Signs New One Year Deal

Striker Matt Godden has signed a new one year deal at Scunthorpe.

The 21 year old turned pro in 2009 and started the final four games of last season, bring his appearance total to 16.

Speaking to the Official Site after completing the formalities, he said.

'The gaffer spoke to me at the end of last year about offering me a new deal and that's happened now so I'm delighted. I enjoyed my time off, I'm in good condition and I'm looking forward to getting back out there.

In the rest of the interview Godden talks about the club hoping to achieve promotion at the first time of asking as well as the impact he believes Andy Dawson and Chris Iwelumo will have next season.
