'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Laws Delighted To Start Campaign At Home

Brian Laws has said he's delighted to see the fixture list put us at home on the opening day of the season.

Speaking to the Official Site Laws said.

'I'm delighted that we are at home. That was one of the things that I was craving for.'

With it being three years since Scunthorpe last won on the opening day, Laws adds that he doesn't want a repeat of last season where we had to wait until September before we picked up our first point.

'It's important that we start well for the simple reason that in past seasons we have been up against it when we have not started well. It will be a tough game against Mansfield but overall I could not have asked for a better start.'
