Laws Will Box Clever In Loan Market
Brian Laws has admitted that he'll have to sensibly use the loan market next season with the financial constraints he's under.
Speaking to the Official Site about his transfer plans and the budgets he has to work within, Laws said he would be using the loan market as he has no other choice really.
'When we talk about bringing permanent new players in, there might only be two or three. That situation depends on who stays out of those players presently with us who we've offered new deals to. The rest, if we do bring any extras in, will be on loan. That's an absolute fact and we'll have to be patient because loan players won't come in until the week before the season starts.'
With Laws already having to let go Paul Reid, Akpo Sodje, Karl Hawley, Andy Barcham, Damien Mozika, Josh Walker and Robbie Gibbons, he knows he's got to be careful when it comes to squad depth for when suspensions and injuries hit next term.
Laws confirms that he has already made contact with a number of clubs about moves, and potential loan moves, and so far the reaction has been positive, but he knows that can soon change when pre season work begins properly.
One player that Laws has already admitted trying for is former Iron Cliff Byrne who is currently with Oldham.
