'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jimmy Ryan's Future Is Out Of His Hands

After picking up the Scunthorpe Telegraph Trophy on awards night, Ryan admitted his future was in the clubs' hands but discussions were to take place.

Speaking to the Scunthorpe Telegraph and at the awards evening, the midfielder said.

'I have a contract for another year which the club has an option on so I will have to see what they come up with and we will talk in the next few days. I'm grateful for having been given the chance to play here and enjoyed it. But it has been a disappointing season.'

Ryan also thanked Brian Laws for playing him in his more favoured position as an attacking midfielder and he thinks his individual performances have reflected that, but even he wishes he could've achieved more, found the net more as the campaign grew to a close as we all know what an extra few points could've done for our season.

He does believe that going into next season though there are positives that can be built on in pre season training with the hope of bouncing back immediately.
