'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We've Found Our Belief

Brian Laws has said he feels that Scunthorpe may have found their belief again following our win against MK Dons today.

Speaking to the Official Site following the 1-0 victory, Laws called on the fans to pack Glanford Park next week for the final encounter over Swindon and help roar us on to the 'great escape'.

Of course it hasn't escaped Laws' attention that results went for us hugely today with the Colchester/Shrewsbury game.

'We came here with a game plan, and credit to the players they executed it to the letter. We knew we have to come here and play a certain way and try to stop them from playing, because if you don't do that they can hurt you. The result here and what has happened in other games gives us the belief that maybe, just maybe we have given ourselves a chance. We know that it will be a tough challenge and an uphill task but we've taken it to the final game and that was all we could ask for.'

Laws repeats that he had questionned the players belief following the result on Tuesday, and thankfully on whether they had 'jacked it in' he feels everybody saw the answer to that today.

It would take a brave punter to put money on Scunthorpe achieving the impossible. We not only need to beat Swindon, but we need Carlisle to beat Colchester and between the two games there has to be a swing of 3 clear goals to take goal difference out of the equasion.
