'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We Have To Play Without Fear

Brian Laws knows how things can change at the bottom of the table over the course of this weekend, but we have to put ourselves in a position to capitalise on it.

A win for Scunthorpe against MK Dons with Shrewsbury taking all three points from Colchester would see us go into our final game of the season against Swindon with an outside chance of survival.

Speaking to the Official Site Laws explained.

'That's how bizarre this Football League is. You can never predict results, no more so than on Tuesday night. We are still in with a fighting chance and it's only a minor one. Mathematically we can do it, but there has to be large portions of luck along the way. The first test is against Mk Dons, we have to go there and get a result to give us a chance. If we don't, that's us done. That's the simple fact.'

It really is everything or nothing, Laws knows it'a a must win game, nothing else will do and failure to win will be the final nail in our League One coffin.

Laws also confirmed that Akpo Sodje will miss the game having picked up a thigh injury within minutes of coming on as a sub in the defeat to Bury. At this stage he doesn't know if he'll be back in contention for the Swindon game, but he is definitely out for the game against MK Dons.
