Iron end 2012 second bottom

Tranmere 1-0 Scunthorpe
29th December 2012
15:00
Prenton Park

Scunthorpe ended the year with a defeat at Tranmere, which saw them return to the top of the league one table and The Iron second from bottom.

A glorious chance for Scunthorpe to take the lead was squandered, however Tranmere also had first half chances too.

Tranmere probably deserved the lead, which they finally got just before the hour.
Cole Stockton (59) opening the scoring.

Another great chance went begging for The Iron, who ended 2012 with this 1-0 defeat at Prenton Park.
