Unlawful! Iron boss questions red
Brian Laws was left in little doubt that Paul Reid's sending off shouldn't have been, and Notts County should have had Lee Hughes sent off too!
An aerial challenge between Reid and Yoann Arquin saw the Scunthorpe captain shown a red card, much to Laws' dismay.
Appealing this decision is planned: 'I have seen the video evidence and Reid heads the ball.
'I will be talking with the referee and we will consider an appeal.'
To make matter worse Hughes, who twice equalised for visiting Notts County, should have been sent off soon after Reid (and before his second equaliser) with Laws adding: 'Then just afterwards, there is clear video evidence again that Hughes has smashed our defender Tom Newey in the face and gets away with it.
'Then he goes and scores the goal that earns County a draw. But he should not have been in the field.'
I think to say Laws wasn't "best pleased" would be an understatement, however he was with all things taken into account content with a point from the 2-2 draw in the end.
