Iron twice pegged back in County draw

Scunthorpe 2-2 Notts County
17th November 2012
15:00
Glanford Park

Scunthorpe were twice pegged back by Notts County at Glanford Park on Saturday with The Iron eventually having to settle for a draw.

An early lead was taken by Scunthorpe when Christian Ribeiro (13) scored his first goal for the club but Notts County levelled through veteran Lee Hughes (34) shortly before the break.

The sides looked destined to go into the break level, especially when Leon Clarke was denied by the bar however, in first half injury time Damien Mozika (45+1) restored the home sides lead.

Hughes was denied by the post before the visitors thought they had drew level again, only for the flag to rule the goal out with The Iron then reduced to 10-men midway through the second period when Paul Reid was sent off.

10-man Scunthorpe couldn't quite hold out with Hughes (82) equalising late on to secure a 2-2 draw and extend Notts County's unbeaten away run to 18 league matches!
