Alan Knill feels that he is constantly coming out with the same thoughts when Scunthorpe lost, as they did 1-0 at the weekend at highflying Stevenage.
Coming away "with something" is what he thought they did deserve.
Yet he also knows that his side "have to be better" to do this to prevent being undone at times: 'I thought we did enough to come away with something, but if I'm honest I've been saying that every week. We are all just so disappointed, but we obviously have to be better.
'We're getting done by goals and up until the goal, considering we were playing second in the league, I thought we looked quite comfortable. In the first half, the only time they looked dangerous was when we gave them the ball.'
Allowing "easy goals" to be conceded is what's happen to The Iron, so this needs to change as does keeping a "basic shape" more often: 'I think we defended better, but when you look at the stats it's the same every week. The opposition won't have too many shots on target, and yet we're losing. We're conceding too easily.
'For 10 minutes after they scored we were all over the place. Everyone wants to do their own thing instead of just keeping a basic shape. As I keep saying, it's about goals at one end and goals at your end, and you just have to keep them out.'
