Collins back after almost a year

Michael Collins is back in training and could make his return from a long-term injury soon.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who has been out for almost a year with an Achilles injury, is back in training with the youth team with Alan Knill revealing on Thursday that he expects him back with the first-team next week.

It'll obviously be a while before he's able to come into contention for a first-team start again but at least he's on the final road to recovery and, as Knill himself said, it'll make him like a "new signing" for The Iron.
