Scunthorpe built on their weekend win with another point on the road, this time at Oldham on Tuesday night.
As with the weekend an early goal from Leon Clarke (3) gave Scunthorpe the lead, this goal was the on-loan Charlton mans third in as many games.
With a half time lead looking on Oldham managed the breakthrough from a loan signing of their own when Matt Derbyshire (40) maintained his impressive start to life on loan with The Latics with a goal.
Clarke had another chance to restore the lead for The Iron but couldn't take this with Sam Slocombe producing a series of saves to keep the visitors level before he was finally beaten in injury-time by Robbie Simpson, this was ruled out for a foul on the Scunthorpe keeper so the game ended in a 1-1 draw.
