Free agent Hawley joins Iron
Karl Hawley was signed by Scunthorpe on Friday, which he was able to do so despite the transfer window closing as he was a free agent.
The 30-year-old former Notts County striker, who had enjoyed a fruitful spell with Carlisle earlier in his career, has joined The Iron on a short-term deal until the end of January 2013.
If Hawley can replicate anything like his Carlisle form, where he scored almost one in two, Scunthorpe will not go far wrong!
