Knill - A good go from start to finish
Scunthorpe suffered another league defeat when they lost to Crewe in midweek.
Alan Knill was left "bitterly disappointed" by the 2-1 defeat as he felt his side deserved more: 'I am bitterly disappointed that we didn't get anything out of this game but I thought we gave it a good go from start to finish.'
This defeat leaves The Iron at the foot of the league one table at this early stage.
"Patience" is something the Scunthorpe boss is looking for but appreciates that football is "about winning games": 'We have what we have as a squad and if people are going to expect miracles from us straight away, they are going to be disappointed. But we have a young team here who want to learn and we will get better, I know we will.
'But I know it is all about winning games of football and we have not done that. The sooner the players understand that the better.'
It's too early in the season to be worrying but if two defeats becomes three, four or five on the spin patience can soon run out...
