An incredible Capital One Cup tie eventually ended with Scunthorpe overcoming Derby after a penalty shootout, which followed a goal-packed game.
Richard Keogh (30), Jake Buxton (34) and Theo Robinson (40) had Derby three-nil up at half time with the hosts well and truly in the driving seat.
Andy Barcham (52) gave Scunthorpe hope but Buxton (53) struck again instantly to restore The Rams' three goal lead.
A Goal from Mike Grella (63) reduced this deficit again before Sam Slocombe saved a Robinson penalty with Bobby Grant (73) instantly bringing The Iron back into the game at 4-3.
Nathan Tyson (83) looked to have sealed victory for Derby late on but incredibly Scunthorpe struck twice in injury time through Connor Jennings (90+5) and a Grant (90+7) to send the game into extra time!
No further goals came in this period so after a 5-5 draw the game went into a penalty shootout with Scunthorpe holding their nerves to win 7-6 and book a place in the next round.
