As expected Scunthorpe have concluded the signings of three summer trialists.
Irish youngsters Mark Hughes and Jordan Keegan have been nailed on for arrivals for a number of weeks having joined The Iron during their tour of Ireland and returning with the club.
After complications with the paperwork were overcome the Irishmen have put pen to paper on one-year deals with the option of a second.
Tom Newey, known to Knill from previously, had been on trial with the club for the whole of the pre-season schedule and has signed a one-year contract.
All three will make good signings for the here and now and for the future.
