'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Michael O'Connor joins Rotherham

Michael O'Connor has agreed a deal to join Rotherham on July 1st.

The 24-year-olds contract with Scunthorpe will expire then with a two-year contract agreed with the league two outfit.

O'Connor, who made just under 100 league appearances for The Iron, said, as he told the official Rotherham website, he made a decision on joining The Millers within minutes: 'I spoke to Steve Evans on Wednesday and within 10 minutes I'd made up my mind.

'It's stepping down a league to come to League Two but it wasn't a tough decision as everyone I've spoken to says this club is going places.'
