Scunthorpe United's new loanee defender Krystian Pearce felt he did enough in Saturday's 1-0 defeat of Peterborough United to retain his place in the heart of defence.

The 18-year-old, who joined on an initial one month loan, impressed on his debut.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph:
'It's good to be playing again, I haven't played for a week so it was good to be back out on the pitch.'

He continued: 'A clean sheet is always good and the manager said that I played well so I am happy. Hopefully I can keep my place in the team.'
